What you type stays on your device

QR codes are generated entirely in your browser. The links, text, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and logos you enter are never sent to us or to anyone else. We don't have accounts, and we don't store your codes.

Anonymous usage statistics

To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites. It records page views and basic technical details such as country, referring site, browser and device type. It never sees what you type or what's inside your QR code.

Error reports

If the app hits an error, it sends an anonymous error report (error text, browser, page, app version). Never anything you type or upload.

A report contains only the error message and where in our code it happened, your browser name and main version (for example "Firefox 131"), the page address without anything after "?" or "#", and the app version. Before anything is sent, the app removes text that could have come from you, such as your links, Wi-Fi details, contact details, logo file names, quoted text, email addresses, web addresses and long numbers. It never includes what's inside your QR code. Reports contain no IP address, cookies or user ID, and an error's details are deleted automatically once it has not happened again for 90 days.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and error reports are received by a Cloudflare Worker. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data (such as IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse; our error collector does not store it.

Your QR codes

The codes are static: the information is stored in the code itself. They keep working without this website and never expire.
